Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 6, 2026
Heroes of America Foundation (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through heroesofamerica.org and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number, the option you select (for example, veteran, first responder or teacher) and your message.
- Newsletter signup: your email address.
- Technical information: like most websites, our server automatically records basic information such as your IP address and browser type. We use it to keep the site secure and to block spam.
How we use it
We use your information only to respond to you, to send updates you asked for, to run our programs and to protect the site from abuse. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Donations
Donations are processed by Zeffy, a third-party platform. When you donate, the information you enter is collected by Zeffy and handled under Zeffy’s own privacy policy. We receive donor records from Zeffy for receipts and recordkeeping.
Third-party services
Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers. We may also use spam-protection services (such as Akismet) that check form submissions. These providers have their own privacy policies.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress may set cookies needed for the site to function, such as when an administrator logs in.
How long we keep it
We keep messages and email addresses only as long as needed to respond, run our programs or meet legal and recordkeeping requirements.
Your choices
You can ask us to update or delete your information, or unsubscribe from emails at any time, by contacting us at contact@heroesofamerica.org.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
